PDP Constitutes 7-Man Committee Ahead of NEC Meeting, National Convention

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has constituted a seven-man committee tasked with ensuring a smooth National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting and preparing for the party’s upcoming national convention.

The committee, which will be chaired by former Senate President Bukola Saraki, was formed during a well-attended meeting of the PDP Governors Forum held at the Bauchi State Governor’s Lodge.

The meeting included serving and former governors of the party and focused on addressing current challenges and charting a path for the future.

Saraki will be working alongside Governors Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), Caleb Muftwang (Plateau), and Peter Mba (Enugu), as well as Senator Seriake Dickson, Senator Ibrahim Dankwambo, and former Abia State Governor, Chief Okezie Ikpeazu.

“We hope to do our best in delivering on the assignment given to us,” Saraki said in a statement shared after the meeting.

The NEC meeting is scheduled for May 27.
