Police Foil Kidnapping, Rescue Victim and Recover SUV
Operatives of the Special Anti-Cultism Squad, Enugu-Ukwu, have foiled a kidnapping attempt and rescued a victim in Isuaniocha, Anambra State, recovering his black Lexus 350 SUV in the process.

According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the incident occurred on the evening of May 17, 2025, when a five-man kidnapping gang operating in a black Toyota Corolla intercepted the victim at Amatu village, Agulu, and abducted him.

Swift police response, aided by a technology-driven manhunt, forced the gang to abandon both the victim and the vehicle in Isuaniocha before fleeing the scene. The rescued victim is currently in safe custody and has been debriefed by the authorities.
SP Ikenga further stated that security surveillance has been intensified in the area and investigations are ongoing to apprehend the suspects and dismantle the criminal gang.
The Anambra State Police Command urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity to aid ongoing security efforts.
