Uzodinma Sacks Imo Attorney General, Orders Immediate Handover
Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has approved the immediate removal of the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. C.O.C. Akaolisa, from office.
Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has approved the immediate removal of the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. C.O.C. Akaolisa, from office.

The announcement was made in an official statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, Hon. Declan Emelumba, on Monday.

According to the statement, Barr. Akaolisa has been directed to hand over all government property in his possession to the State Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice without delay.
No reason was provided for the sudden dismissal, and as of press time, the state government has not named a replacement.
