Just-In: Wife Pours Hot Oil on Husband While Asleep
A 48-year-old man from Mayara village near Nkurenkuru in Namibia sustained serious burn injuries after his wife allegedly poured boiling cooking oil on him while he was asleep, in what police are investigating as a case of attempted murder.
A 48-year-old man from Mayara village near Nkurenkuru in Namibia sustained serious burn injuries after his wife allegedly poured boiling cooking oil on him while he was asleep, in what police are investigating as a case of attempted murder.

According to Kavango West regional police commander Julia Sakuwa-Neo, the incident occurred on Sunday and left the victim, Kapumburu Jacob Katanga, with severe burn wounds to his face and left arm.
“He was attacked without warning while he was asleep,” Sakuwa-Neo confirmed.

The suspect, identified as the victim’s wife, has not yet been arrested. Authorities have launched a manhunt and are urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward.
Katanga was reportedly rushed to a local health facility where he is receiving medical treatment for his injuries. The motive behind the alleged attack remains unclear.
Police investigations are ongoing.
