Daniel Bwala: “This Administration Has Turned the Tide”
Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, has asserted that Nigeria is firmly on the path to recovery under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.
During an interview on the Channels Television program Politics Today with Seun Okin, Bwala emphasised that the government has made significant progress across all sectors of national life, delivering tangible benefits to ordinary citizens, particularly in terms of food stability, as food prices are decreasing nationwide.
“Whichever aspect of our national life you examine, you can confidently say that this administration has successfully turned the tide, and we are now approaching full recovery,” Bwala stated.
He dismissed frequent criticisms that the average Nigerian is suffering under the current economic conditions, questioning the basis of such claims.
“Sometimes, when people talk about ‘the ordinary Nigerian is suffering,’ I wonder if they are talking to spirits, because the individuals impacted positively by these developments are ordinary Nigerians,” he added.
Taking a swipe at the opposition coalition, Bwala stated that it is overstated and does not exist in reality. He described those who believe it is their birthright to govern as “nomadic politicians” who are merely complaining about Tinubu’s government.
The legal practitioner also noted that insecurity in Nigeria has been significantly reduced. He explained that what we are witnessing are criminal behaviours that are unrelated to the effectiveness of governance, as such issues exist in every part of the world citing the shooting in the U.S. just yesterday.
On Governors, Bwala stated that this is the best time for governors in Nigeria, as they are experiencing an era of oil boom; none of them are complaining.
