Prince Emmanuel Kanu, brother of the detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, along with his legal representative, Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, and several others, has been remanded in Kuje Prison until Friday by a magistrate’s court in Abuja.

The group was reportedly brought before the Kuje Magistrate Court earlier today without access to their lawyers. Shockingly, no legal representation was permitted during the court proceedings.

Sources indicate that before the hearing, Prince Kanu, Barr. Ejimakor, and others were still being held at the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) facility before being transported to court this morning.

Prince Kanu, Ejimakor, and others were arrested while protesting for the release of Nnamdi Kanu on Monday, October 20, in a protest convened by Omoyele Sowore.

While Sowore remained unscathed and demanded their release, the Police Spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin has vowed to charge them in court for illegally protesting against the court judgment.
