Five Abducted Victims Rescued Unharmed
The Rivers State Police Command has announced the successful rescue of five abducted persons during a coordinated security operation in the early hours of Thursday, 4 December 2025.

According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the victims, Prince London, Azubuike Kelechukwu, Elizabeth Aniete, Onyebuchi Precious, and London Sampson, were rescued unhurt around 1:00 a.m. from Rumudogo 2 Community in Emuoha Local Government Area.
The victims revealed that they had been abducted from their isolated residences by yet-to-be-identified cultists.
Following the rescue, the victims were taken to a hospital for medical examination.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, commended the efforts of the Command’s Tactical Teams in collaboration with sister security agencies and with the support of the local community and vowed that the fleeing abductors would be tracked down and brought to justice.
He urged residents to remain calm and continue cooperating with security agencies, assuring them that their safety remains the Command’s top priority.
Intensive efforts to apprehend the perpetrators are ongoing.
