Tinubu Appoints New Heads of NUPRC, NMDPRA as Ahmed Resigns Amid Corruption Allegations
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Oritsemeyiwa Amanorisewo Eyesan as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and Engineer Saidu Aliyu Mohammed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).

The appointments come on the heels of the resignations of the agencies’ former chief executives. Farouk Ahmed stepped down as CEO of the NMDPRA, while Gbenga Komolafe also resigned from his position as CEO of the NUPRC.
This comes amid allegations of corruption by businessman Aliko Dangote.
