APC Upholds Existing Zoning Formula for NWC Positions Ahead of 2026 Convention
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed that its current zoning arrangement for National Working Committee (NWC) positions will remain in force as preparations continue for the party’s 2026 National Convention.

The decision was announced in a press statement issued on Monday from the party’s national headquarters in Abuja, signed by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
According to the party, the zoning formula outlined in the published 2026 Schedule of Nationwide Congresses, National Convention, and Related Activities will continue to guide the allocation of NWC positions across states within the country’s geopolitical zones.
“The existing zoning arrangement for National Working Committee positions across states within the geo-political zones remains valid and applicable to the upcoming National Convention,” the statement said.
The party explained that maintaining the current zoning structure is intended to provide clarity for aspirants seeking national offices and ensure stability within the APC as it prepares for key internal elections.
It also urged aspirants to strictly comply with the arrangement when purchasing and submitting their Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms.
“Accordingly, aspirants are advised to be strictly guided by the existing zoning arrangement,” the statement added.
