Disowned PFIPC ‘DG’ Adeniyi Adeyemi Insists Appointment Is Genuine, Says Court Will Reveal the Truth
Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claims to be the Director-General of the disowned Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), has maintained that his appointment is legitimate, insisting that ongoing court proceedings will determine the truth behind the controversy surrounding the organisation.

Speaking during an interview with journalist Seun Okinbaloye on Thursday, Adeyemi denied allegations that he is a con artist and rejected suggestions that the PFIPC was a fictitious agency.
Responding to claims that he had a history of falsely presenting himself as the head of a United Nations organisation, Adeyemi said, “No. Since the matter is in court, let the court vindicate me because I’m ready to clear my name.”
He argued that it would have been impossible for him to operate openly for nearly two years if the agency did not exist, saying he had met with heads of ministries, departments and agencies across the country.
Adeyemi also claimed that the appointment was made with the knowledge of the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, answering “Yes” when asked whether Gbajabiamila knew about and facilitated his appointment. However, he declined to provide further details, repeatedly citing the pending court case.
Asked about reports that a key witness to his alleged arrangement with Gbajabiamila had died, Adeyemi said only that “the court” would determine the facts.
He also refused to explain how he secured office space within the Federal Secretariat or disclose the source of funding for the salaries of about 300 staff reportedly working under the PFIPC, saying the truth would be revealed during the legal proceedings.
Adeyemi further insisted that he possesses a valid letter of appointment but declined to make it public because the matter is before the court. He added that he was prepared to face the legal process, stating that if he was wrong, the court should rule accordingly, and if he was right, the court would also vindicate him.
