Oshiomhole, Yilwatda Rally Osun for AMBO, Declare: “We Come in Peace to Clean Osun”

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have rallied support for the party’s governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, ahead of Saturday’s governorship election in Osun State.

Speaking at the APC mega rally in Osogbo, former Edo State Governor and Senator Adams Oshiomhole described AMBO as the “very best” option for Osun, urging voters to choose the APC candidate through the ballot.

Oshiomhole said the APC was a progressive and peaceful party, stressing that the only “ink” needed during the election was the black ink on voters’ thumbs, rather than blood.

“Osun deserves the very best, not just good, and the very best is what APC has offered,” he said.

The senator also described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a man committed to peace and democracy, saying the APC wanted a free and fair election in Osun State.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a man of peace. There is no living Nigerian who has invested in democracy as much as he has done. We want peace across the length and breadth of Nigeria,” Oshiomhole said.

Contributing, the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, said Osun State had enormous potential and human resources but needed a governor capable of harnessing them.

According to him, critical infrastructure across the state had collapsed and would require urgent attention under an APC administration.

“AMBO is coming. Saturday, our votes will count. AMBO is ready and a born leader. All the critical infrastructure in Osun State has collapsed, and AMBO will review it. Vote APC on Saturday. We come in peace to clean Osun State,” Yilwatda said.

Oyebamiji, in his remarks, promised to make the welfare of Osun residents the centrepiece of his administration if elected.

“My mandate is to touch the lives of the people of Osun State. Governance is not dancing; it is serious work,” the APC candidate said.

Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, Kaduna State Governor and Chairman of the APC Osun State Governorship Campaign Monitoring and Compliance Committee, Senator Uba Sani, alongside other party leaders, were also present at the rally.
