Nwifuru: We Won’t Spend Money Paying TV Houses, Influencers to Cover Project Commissioning
Ebonyi State Governor Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru said his administration does not spend heavily on project commissioning, adding that funds that would have gone to television stations and social media personalities for coverage can be channelled to other priorities.
Nwifuru made the statement while responding to a question about his administration’s project commissioning in the state.
According to the governor, his administration is deliberate about avoiding unnecessary expenditure associated with project commissioning, particularly payments to media organisations and social media influencers to cover such events.
“We are not spending much money to commission projects. We don’t have money to pay television houses and social media people to cover the commissioning of projects. We can use that money for other things,” Nwifuru said.
