Chinedum Orji Vows to Take Dividends of Democracy to Every Village in Ikwuano/Umuahia
Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia North & South Federal Constituency, has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach every village, community, and urban area in his area of representation if elected to represent the people in the National Assembly.
While expressing his vision for inclusive representation and grassroots development, he declared that his promise to the people is not merely a political statement but a solemn vow that he is determined to fulfil if entrusted with the mandate to serve.
According to him, every community within the constituency deserves to benefit from democratic governance, irrespective of its size, location, or level of development. He emphasised that his vision is to promote equitable distribution of development projects, improve access to essential social amenities, and ensure that the needs and concerns of the people are adequately represented.
He further stressed that representation should go beyond occupying a seat in the National Assembly, noting that the true measure of leadership lies in its impact on the lives of the people. He maintained that his commitment, if elected, would be guided by accountability, fairness, transparency, and a determination to ensure that no village or community is left behind.
Rt Hon Chinedum Orji reiterated that he considers his promises to the people a personal obligation, insisting that he must work diligently to fulfil them if given the opportunity to serve.
“My commitment to the people is a vow, and I take it seriously. If elected as your next House of Representatives member, I must fulfil the promises I have made. Every village, every community, and every urban area in this constituency deserves to feel the impact of democracy. My mission is to ensure that development reaches the people, and that no part of our constituency is neglected,” he stated.
He maintained that, if elected, fulfilling his promises would remain a central responsibility of his mandate, with the ultimate goal of ensuring that the dividends of democracy are accessible to all communities across the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency.
