Otunba Babatunde Olushola Senbanjo Condemns Reported ₦1 Billion Vehicle Distribution to APC Youth Leaders amid Economic Hardship
Otunba Dr Babatunde Olushola Senbanjo (BOS) has expressed concern over reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC) distributed new vehicles worth over ₦1 billion to its youth leaders at a time when millions of Nigerians are battling rising food prices, unemployment, poverty, and an unbearable cost of living.
It is disturbing that while ordinary Nigerians struggle to survive the prevailing economic difficulties, reports of such expensive political spending are generating public outrage. Rather than engaging in activities that raise questions about priorities, political leaders should focus on delivering practical solutions that improve the lives of citizens.
BOS questions the priorities of an administration whose president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has blamed the opposition for the nation’s hardship, while Nigerians continue to demand concrete results, responsible governance, and meaningful economic relief.
Nigerian youths deserve jobs, affordable education, accessible healthcare, entrepreneurial opportunities, and a future filled with hope, not a political environment where expensive gifts risk becoming more prominent than policies that address their needs.
Enough of politics without tangible results! Enough of political calculations that put partisan interests ahead of the people! Enough of treating the aspirations of Nigerian youths as instruments of political survival!
Otunba Dr Babatunde Olushola Senbanjo maintains that Nigerians must carefully examine the performance, priorities, and accountability of the APC-led administration as the country approaches the 2027 general elections.
The 2027 elections present an opportunity for citizens to demand accountability and evaluate political parties based on their records, policies, and commitment to national development. Nigerians should reject any political approach that prioritises frivolous spending over practical solutions to the country’s economic challenges.
This is not about political propaganda; it is about the future of Nigeria. Our nation deserves leadership that understands the pain of the people, respects public resources, and places national development above partisan interests.
Nigeria cannot continue on the path of hardship without demanding accountability and change. The time has come for responsible leadership, economic recovery, and a government that puts Nigerians first.
Enough of all these political gamblers. Nigeria and its people deserve better!
