Catholic Diocese Urges Tinubu, Okpebholo, Others to Rescue Seminarians in Captivity
The Catholic Diocese of Auchi in Edo State has called on President Bola Tinubu, Governor Monday Okpebholo and all security agencies in Nigeria to help rescue two seminarians kidnapped.
The seminarians were from the Immaculate Conception Minor Seminary, Ivhianokpodi-Agenebode, Etsako East LGA of Edo State.
The Diocese said they have been held for more than 35 days after they were kidnapped on July 10 2025.
The Director of Communications in the Catholic Diocese of Auchi, Rev. Fr. Peter Egielewa, confirmed that the children in a viral video of minor Seminarians with a human skull crying and pleading for their release and surrounded by gun-wielding persons suspected to be their abductors are two of their three seminarians abducted on July 10.
