Girl Maltreated By Guardian Rescued By Villagers
There was a mild protest yesterday by villagers over a woman who maltreats her housemaid in Ubahu Okigwe area of Imo state. A report has it that the woman was caught beating the little girl who looks sick and malnourished, an act which is said to be happening constantly before the people decided to take action.
The neighbours and other concerned residents came to the girl’s rescue as they rushed the woman in question and humiliated her.The woman identified was paraded around the area before being handed over to the police.
