A 30-year-old man was arrested for taking a 12-year-old girl’s alleged “hostage” and defiling her in the Abia state process. It was found that the little girl who comes from Apugo in Enugu State lived with her aunt who allegedly constantly mistreats her and flies her with a cutlass.
According to reports, the little girl who sells sachet water for her aunt – was chased away from home by the same woman on Wednesday, 10/04/2019 and the suspect took advantage of the poor orphan in the pretence of accommodating her, to sexually abuse and defile the minor.
The community policing vigilante of Umuogele village in Abia – caught them and handed them over to the Ndiegoro Police Division.
Efforts are being made to get an NGO to take up the girl’s case.
