A man has been jailed for stabbing his three weeks old son to death over an argument with his mother.

Denis Beytula attacked three-week-old Andrei Stefan and his mother Andreea at a house in Wallsend, North Tyneside, on October 2.
The 27-year-old had grabbed a knife following an argument with the baby’s mother, Andreea Stefan, 21, and began stabbing her and the infant.
She was able to call emergency services seconds later and the father was arrested at the scene.
The two victims were transferred to the Royal Victoria Infirmary – where Ms. Stefan recovered and infant Andrei died days later on October 6.
Appearing at Newcastle Crown Court, Beytula showed little emotion as he admitted murdering baby Andrei and attempting to murder Ms. Stefan.
Ms. Stefan posted a Facebook message in the moments before the attack, saying: ‘I asked God to send me a man who will always love me. So, he gave me a son.’
As the mother’s condition improved in the hospital her son’s worsened, and he was eventually declared dead.
Concluding the hearing, Judge Penny Moorland told bearded Beytula: ‘You will be sentenced for the offenses which you have admitted on the 19th of December. You remain in custody until that date.
‘That concludes this hearing, and you may go down.’
Detective Chief Inspector Dave Cole said that it was ‘impossible to imagine’ what the baby’s family had gone through in the aftermath of the incident.
