Woman Who Harbours Children Helps Blind Boy Regain Sight

A woman has narrated how her cousin who harbours children and runs an almost free clinic helped a child regain his sight.

The woman, Dr Bisi Adeniyi of ‘Bisi Clinic’ who lives in Minna, Niger State took in a boy whom she felt his blindness can be corrected medically.

The cousin who narrated the story on social media said that her cousin was in the habit of taking in children since her own children were all grown.

She wrote on Twitter…

“I promised myself I will tell this story before the end of this year. My cousin lives in Minna (she’d been there for more than 2 decades), and she runs her own private clinic there. In the past, I had visited her, and I know she had treated many patients for free. I counted it as generosity.

“Over the years, this trait had grown into greater dimensions. I visited Minna again in November, and she had 11 children under her care, I mean 11!!! I was overwhelmed, but she explained that she’s a widow, with a big house and her children were all grown up and left home, so all she could do was to be hospitable to other children.

“The children’s ages range from 11 to 19, and they came from different backgrounds, Zuru in Kebbi, Gwari, Nupe, Kambari in Niger, Zamfara etc. I wish all of us Nigerians could be this hospitable and accommodating. I am personally challenged by her ‘Ministry’ as a friend put it. Now to the juicy part, the youngest of them, Tanko was born blind and she took him in last September.

“I kept asking why she accepted the boy, and she explained that she felt medical care could help him regain his sight. I silently prayed for this to happen. And so I left Minna on a Saturday, the same day Tanko was scheduled for his operation. When we spoke on Sunday evening, the bandages were off, and Tanko could see!!!

“This is the greatest miracle of 2019, for me! My resolve and I encourage y’all too, be a blessing to someone in this new year, be the channel of miracles and blessings to others. This lady is unsung, quietly ministering to the needs of others, in Minna, the town of the rich generals!!! May the good Lord reward her appropriately.”
