Troops Repel Terrorist Attack in Niger State, Neutralise Bandits
Troops of the Nigerian Army have successfully repelled a coordinated terrorist attack on Warari, a community in the Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State, neutralising dozens of armed assailants during a fierce four-hour confrontation on Tuesday.

According to local sources, the attack was launched by a group of armed bandits believed to be behind a string of recent assaults in the region. The swift and strategic response of the troops not only thwarted the assault but led to the deaths of many of the attackers.
Eyewitnesses reported that in their bid to escape, several of the terrorists collided while fleeing on motorcycles and were subsequently gunned down by pursuing troops. The clash reportedly resulted in significant losses for the attackers, although the exact number of casualties has yet to be officially confirmed.
“The soldiers fought bravely and stood their ground for hours,” a local resident told reporters. “They saved our community from what could have been another massacre.”
