Imo People Should Expect Miracles – Gov. Hope Uzodinma

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma has given Imo people assurance that his government was prepared to deliver on his electoral promises.

The Governor gave this assurance while fielding questions from newsmen at the Government House after the reconfirmation of his mandate by the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

“Imo people should expect a miracle. I know I have a well thought out vision. A vision that will develop Imo State, bring prosperity and create long life.

“I came here with an open mind, my confidence is in the Lord Almighty. It is His decision that I should be here and serve Imo people as their governor and I believe He will give me the way withal to deliver and sustain my stay in the office.

The governor used the opportunity to extend olive branches to his opponents, declaring that win or lose, the welfare of Imo people should be paramount in the heart of every leader or aspiring leader.

“It is not every time you win, it is also not every time that you lose. When you win, you carry the losers along and when you lose you follow those who win. My advice to them is to come to bring their ideas for us to create a synergy to develop Imo State.

“I believe in the rule of law and the decision of our law courts should be binding on all citizens. In this business, you must exhibit the spirit of sportsmanship”.

On his status as the only APC governor in the South East, the Onwa Oyoko had these to say,
“I will improve on the status quo by doing things that will impress the people to join our national party. I will use persuasion, conviction and dialogue. In fact, I will go on political evangelism to convert the people of South-East to join APC”.
