Pastor Reno Omokri has advised men to avoid getting married when they are poor or in extreme poverty as it will be hard for them to escape poverty.

He stated that it is only a foolish girl will marry a man who is in extreme poverty so he advised that men should have a solid stand before thinking of marriage.

A girl who marries you while you are suffering is not a ‘good’ girl. Only foolish girls marry you while you are in extreme poverty. Truly good girls will work with you to fight poverty before marrying you and bringing children into the world. It is hard to escape poverty if you marry during times of extreme poverty. Marriage is like a boat. You only invite someone to join you in your boat when you have enough space. If you don’t have enough space and you invite a woman to join you in your boat, both of you may sink. Get a larger boat, that can contain two or more people before you marry!
