Reacting to the social media de-marketing of Ariaria market by detractors and social media analysts, the Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Cosmos Ndukwe has asked what people gain by de-marketing Abia State stating that its an act of treachery and wickedness.

He stated this on his visit to Ariaria International Market on August 4th, 2020 stating that Ariaria market has no problem even though it is the rainy season.
“At the inception of this administration, Cosmos continues, the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu being a humanist constructed Faulks road, opened it for various people who comes from Port Harcourt and other States into the market.”
“Ariaria was a creation of the military in 1977, this market is 43 years old and the administration has plans of moving them in batches and remoulding the market especially the A-line. The pandemic distorted the plans but the plans are still strong and ongoing.”
“The first plan was to fix the road which has been done and the second plan was to start the remodelling of this great market.
It pains my heart that despite the killing in Southern Kaduna, they are talking about Abia State instead of confronting what they are facing. ”
“The Governor of Abia State is taking the challenges his State is facing bit by bit and tackling them gradually. He is doing everything possible to make his State better and make the State investor-friendly.”
Recall that the son of the Governor of Kaduna State, Bashir El-Rufai shared the pictures of supposed Ariaria International.
This blew up with many supposed pictures of the state of the market.
