Inner Galaxy Group: Ikpeazu Constitutes Panel for Investigation

Following the review of the report of the fact finding team sent to Inner Galaxy Steel Company today, Thursday, 13th August, 2020, Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has directed the setting up of a full investigative committee to look into the operations of the company with a view to ensuring compliance with relevant local and international laws.

The committee which has two weeks to submit its report to the Governor has the following members:

1. Chief Uwaoma Olewengwa – (Chairman)
2. Barr Sam Hart (Secretary)
3. Hon Godwin Adiele
4. Chinenye Nwaogu
5. TC Chairman, Ukwa West
6. Emmanuel Ochiri Alozie (BIR)
7. Chief Stanley Eche
8. Comrade Nelson Nnanna Nwafor
9. Venerable F E Iwela

The committee will be inaugurated at 11am on Friday, August 14, 2020, by the Deputy Governor, Rt Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu.

Recall that an investigative journalist went undercover to reveal the ill-treatment meted out to workers in the company owned by the Chinese in Ukwa, Abia State.
