In response to the social media agitation on the impunity of the Special Anti-Squad Response Team, the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu banned SARS from a routine patrol.

In a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba on Sunday, he gave the directive on what is expected of the force.
He also appealed to citizens to remain calm as the force will protect the lives of citizens.
