#EndSARS Protest Should be Done in Non-Violent Manner – ECOWAS Reacts
The Economic Community of West African States has reacted to the #EndSARS protest that has been rocking Nigeria calling a restraint in handling protesters by security operatives.
The Economic Community of West African States has reacted to the #EndSARS protest that has been rocking Nigeria calling a restraint in handling protesters by security operatives.

In the statement released on Tuesday, ECOWAS stating that citizens have the right to protest but that should be done in a non-violent manner.

The statement also condoled with the families of victims of SARS while noting that the Federal Government has disbanded SARS as requested by the citizens and talked about the reform of the police force.
It also encouraged the Nigerian government to conduct a rapid investigation on the police brutality while commending them for setting up a panel of inquiry.
