Police Arrest Man for Defiling Seven Year Old Girl

A 29-year-old man identified as Ogbu Christian has been arrested by the Anambra State Police Command for defiling a seven years old girl in his room at Aniche Street Okpoko in Anambra State.

It was gathered that the girl was the daughter of a neighbour whom he used biscuit as bait to have carnal knowledge of her on the 27th of October, 2020.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed, who said that the police operatives attached to Okpoko division arrested the suspect who is a native of Mboshi in Iboeze North LGA in Enugu State after visiting the scene and taking the victim to the hospital for a medical checkup.

However, doctors confirmed that there was penetration.

SP Haruna disclosed that the ‘case would be transferred to the State criminal investigation department for discreet investigation as directed by the Commissioner of Police John B.Abang, FDC. after which suspect will be charged to court for prosecution.’
