Police Bust Armed Robbery Attack, Arrest Two Suspects

A 23-year-old man Ocha Chinonso and a 22-year-old Chidubem Emmanuel have been busted after a failed robbery attempt by the Anambra State Police Command.

Following a distress call on the 31st October 2020 by residents of Abagana, Njikoka Local Government area, Police operatives attached to Abagana with the help of a local vigilante group from Umudunu village were able to stop the attack and arrest suspects.

The suspects who hail from Mgbuke Village, Umunachi and Umusiome Nkpor were caught with weapons and other incriminating items.

This was made known by the Police Public Relation Officer of Anambra State Police Command, Haruna Mohammed on Sunday, 1st November 2020.

He stated that ‘exhibits recovered in their possessions includes two pump action gun, one short double-barrel gun, three cartridges and one Keke tricycle. A case under investigation after which suspects would be a charge to court for prosecution.’
