Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has deducted N30,000 from the school fees of students of Abia State University, Uturu who are of Abia origin.

This comes after the wide request by students who requested that instead of the N30,000 pocket money the governor promised, it should be reduced from their school fees.
Ikpeazu granted the student’s request on Saturday morning through his official Twitter account.

He wrote, “I’ve directed the management of Abia State University, Uturu, to deduct the N30,000 pocket money for students of Abia origin from their school fees as widely requested by the students. We’ll continue to listen & do whatever is necessary to ensure our high flying students excel – Dr Okezie Victor Chibuikem Ikpeazu.”

Recall that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu earlier promised to pay N30,000 to all Abia students in Abia State University, Uturu as pocket money and to help cushion the effect of the pandemic.
