Update: Why Prison Warder Shot Motorcyclist

Following the clash between Motorcyclists and the police in Ibadan on Tuesday, Newsleverage has gathered the reason for the tension experienced.

Oyo affairs on Twitter stated that trouble started when a yet to be identified prison warder attached to the Agodi correctional centre shot an Okada rider dead over money.

The okada rider known as Alfa refused to part way with money demanded by the prison warder who seized his motorcycle. An argument ensued and the prison warder opened fire.

The okada rider has been rushed to a nearby health center for treatment while the prison warder who carried out the extrajudicial action has fled the scene of the incident.

As of the time of filing this report, personnel of the operation burst hava rounded up Agodi Gate and Iso-part in a bid to restore normalcy to the area. have
