Rivers State LGA Election: Hon Akaya Declares For Councillorship Position

The Youth Leader of Afam Okoloma Community cum Chairman of Oyigbo LGA Youth President’s Forum and GDI coordinator Ward 1, Hon Stanleyson Ngozi Akaya had declared to contest for the Councillorship position of Ward 1, Okoloma Afam, Ayama and Obunku, Oyigbo in the forthcoming Rivers State LGA election under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Speaking at the declaration at the residence of the Ward 1 Chairman Jonah N. Nkwuche, Hon Stanleyson Ngozi Akaya stated that his zeal and drive to contest for councillor emanated from his experience and wealth of knowledge in service delivery.

Hon Stanleyson Ngozi Akaya,who was the former President of National Youth Council of Nigeria Oyigbo Chapter,former supervisor for works and transport Oyigbo,three (3) times Chief Protocol and Media Officer to Oyigbo Council CTC Chairman, two (2) times Community Trust (CT) Secretary, just to mention but four, stated that his interest to contest for councillor is to engage in adjudication of his local community intra and inter matters for possible peaceful resolutions.

“I am not coming to make Ward 1 a new Haven, but with my connectivity index with the Paramount Ruler and Council of Chiefs, I will continue to interface strongly and peacefully for youths of Okoloma Afam, Ayama and Obunku Community as I have always been doing”, Stanleyson stated.

“It’s evident in the archives of Oyigbo LGA that during my reign as a two-time Community Trust (CT) Secretary, I managed the community’s CDB funds,built 24 blocks lock up shops in Okoloma Afam Community market, built the Abattoir at the Okoloma Afam Community market, built a block of 6 rooms toilet facility (3 males, 3 females) at Okoloma Afam Community market for the butchers,secured the payment of bursary to 15 indigent community students in the tertiary institution and installed street light in three major streets in Okoloma Afam as a CTC member and supervisor for works and transport”, Stanleyson added.

Responding, the Ward 1 Chairman of Oyigbo LGA Mr Jonah N Nkwuche who described Hon Stanleyson Ngozi Akaya as a very accessible personality full of pragmatism, enthusiasm and poised,stated that a vote for him is a vote for credibility and open door policy adding that as a cheerful giver, peaceful and detribalised personality, Hon Stanleyson Ngozi Akaya will do a great exploit in the welfare of the youths of Okoloma Afam, Ayama and Obunku Community. He, therefore, solicited support for him and prayed to thee to give him the moxie to deliver in his primary assignment.
