Police Recover Four Stolen Vehicles, Urges Victims to Claim Properties

The Anambra State Police Command has recovered four vehicles suspected to have been snatched from victims and abandoned.

According to a press release by the Spokesman to the Anambra State Police Command, Haruna Mohammed, the police are intensifying efforts to find the fleeing suspects.

It also urged the public to identify and properties as the vehicles have been moved to the police station.

‘During the week under review, the Command patrol teams attached to CPS Awka, Neni and Oraifite Divisions while on routine patrol in the State recover four vehicles reasonably suspected to have been stolen or snatched as follows;

1. A golden coloured Sienna car with Registration number MUS 996 FB recovered along Enugu Onitsha Expressway.

2. A dark ash unregistered Lexus 350 car recovered at Akwaeze/Oreire/Igboukwu road,

3. A dark blue Toyota Corolla car with registration number JJT 810 SA also recovered along Akweaze/Igboukwu road. Other items recovered in the vehicles includes seven phones, ATM card, voters card, drivers licence bearing Nduaguba Belonwu Fredrick of Isiokpo Street Awada Onitsha Anambra State and vehicle’s purchase receipt.

Consequently,on1/2/2021 at about 7:30 pm, there was a lone motor accident at Ibolo Oraifite, opposite ST-Luke Anglican Church Ibolo involving a Red Toyota Camry with registration number MUS -883-GN. No occupants were found inside the car. However, when the vehicle was searched and one barrel pistol was recovered inside the car.

Given the foregoing, members of the public are kindly requested to disseminate this message through their mediums to enable the owners to identify and claim their properties by contacting the PPRO, Anambra State Police Command, through GSM number 08060970639, please.’
