Youths to Stage Counter-Protest Against #OccupyLekkiTollGate
In response to the staged #OccupyLekkiTollGate, some youths planned a counter-protest tagged #defendLagos on the 13th of February, 2021.
In response to the staged #OccupyLekkiTollGate, some youths planned a counter-protest tagged #defendLagos on the 13th of February, 2021.
The social media was left abuzz by the fliers and hashtags with some people turning it into an ethnic battle of the Igbos vs the Yorubas.
While some reminded them that when the rogue police officers want to shoot, they do not ask for one’s ethnic group and this is why injustice and indiscipline should be protested.
Also, some youths advised others to stay at home as Nigeria is not worth dying for.
So far, on Monday, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu had a meeting with the Area Commanders & Mopol Commanders in Lagos State Ahead of planned #OccupyLekkiTollGate protest at the Lekki Toll Gate.
