Tanker Explodes in Anambra State, Raze Filling Station
There was an incident of fire outbreak at the Daymaker filling station Aguleri roundabout in Anambra East LGA of Anambra State, on Sunday, from a tanker while offloading kerosene.
There was an incident of fire outbreak at the Daymaker filling station Aguleri roundabout in Anambra East LGA of Anambra State, on Sunday, from a tanker while offloading kerosene.

It was gathered that the tanker exploded while discharging its content at the filling station at Aguleri roundabout.
The fire gutted down a part of the filling station which was extinguished and no casualty recorded.
According to the spokesperson to the Anambra State Police Command, Haruna Mohammed, ‘Police operatives led by DPO Otoucha Division CSP Etah Baba and other Sister Security Agencies quickly mobilised to the scene and cordoned off the area to prevent looting and further catastrophe.
Fire Service was equally contacted and they responded promptly. Meanwhile, no loss of life and no injury have been reported. The investigation is ongoing to ascertain circumstances surrounding the incident.’
Confirming the incident, the Commissioner of Police, Monday Bala Markus, FSI, has appealed to the filling station owners to always apply safety precaution while offloading fuel to avert similar ugly incidents which could also lead to loss of lives and injuries especially during this harmattan period.
