Two Notorious Beggars Arrested in Awka
Two notorious begging syndicate have been apprehended at Unizik Temp Site Junction in Awka over nefarious activities on Saturday.
Two notorious begging syndicate have been apprehended at Unizik Temp Site Junction in Awka over nefarious activities on Saturday.
It was gathered that the women who often beg at that junction using six underaged children where arrested by the Anambra State Commissioner for Women & Children Affairs, Lady Mezue.
The two women who were from Nasarawa and Enugu State respectively where counselled, given food items and some money to start a new life during the arrest in December, 2020.
But unfortunately, after receiving assistance, went back to the spot to continue their begging which caused a rearrest.
