Victims of War Are Not Intended Targets Rather Hapless Ones – Kayamo
The Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo has stated that those who instigate war have the means to leave the country or take care of themselves while others are affected by it.
The Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo has stated that those who instigate war have the means to leave the country or take care of themselves while others are affected by it.

Citing the case of the #EndSARS protest, Festus revealed that those who pushed for the violence have left the country while others left in the country to suffer the consequences.
He also disclosed that citizens calling for calm is not out of cowardice but to protect the weak from the fraudulent acts of a few.
Read his tweet below;
During the COVID-19 lockdown, those badly affected were, unfortunately, the weak and lowly amongst us; during ENDSARS, the eventual victims that lost billions were not the intended targets; the insurgency in the North East has mostly affected the weak and vulnerable amongst us.
The victims of war would not be the intended targets, but the hapless ones who’re listening to the advocates of war. When Govt & responsible citizens call for calm, it’s not out of cowardice or self-preservation; it’s to protect the weak from the fraudulent intrigues of a few.
END SARS has taught Nigerians a bitter lesson: those who push others to violence usually have the means and resources to take care of themselves and their families and even leave our shores whilst those who they instigate to violence suffer the brutal consequences or even die.’
Recall that there has been call for secession among the people. While the Yorubas created Oduduwa republic and have singled out June 12, 2021 as a date for their referendum, Asari Dokubo created a defunct IPOB stating that he was the leader and also calling for secession.
In another dimension, the North has been filled with insurgency and schools shut down owing to the high level of criminality, kidnapping that has plagued the region.
