Amid Unrest and Killing, Odumegwu Ojukwu University Warns Against Sharing Viral Video
Following the unrest at Igbariam junction in Anambra State, the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, COOU, has stated that the incident did not affect the school.
Following the unrest at Igbariam junction in Anambra State, the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, COOU, has stated that the incident did not affect the school.

Disturbing viral videos show dead bodies on the floor with a bunch of herdsmen passing the student hostels.
Some of the narration revealed that a family was killed in Igbariam, Awkuzu on Sunday night and students were scared to come out of their hostels.

As of this evening, the busy Igbariam junction is deserted as students have relocated.

With regards to the recent developments around Awkuzu Junction, the Vice Chancellor of COOU, Prof Greg Nwakoby directed that the staff and students of COOU should be in school as there is no cause for alarm
Again, he warned against the posting of any pictures or videos on social media as the University is not party to anything that happened especially as it did not occur in our University.
He informed further that people should desist forthwith from speaking as if it happened within or around the University community.
He finally instructed that lectures should continue and staff MUST be in their duty posts..
