2023: Peter Obi Indicates Interest to Run for President
The former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has indicated interest to run for the office of President in 2023.
The former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has indicated interest to run for the office of President in 2023.
Speaking through his official Twitter page, Obi stated that he will contest if his political party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, zones the ticket to the South.
“Yes, I will step into the field to contest for the opportunity to serve this great country as President if my party, the @OfficialPDPNig, zones the ticket to the south. But if it is thrown open, Nigerians will also hear from me. -PO”
This comes shortly after the news of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar choosing the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike as running mate in the 2023 presidential election filled the internet.
