Ikpeazu Commences Project Inspection, Visits Osisioma Flyover, Others

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work done at the Osisioma Interchange, Okpu Umuobo and Ayaba Umueze (ABSUTH) roads all in Osisioma Ngwa LGA ,expressing hope that the projects will be delivered very soon.

Speaking after inspecting progress of work at the three sites today, Governor Ikpeazu said he was particularly delighted with the extent of work so far done on the Okpu-Umuobo-Mgboko road as it will serve as a major bypass connecting Aba-Owerri Road to the Obikabia-Obikabia road.

The Governor maintained that upon completion, those going to and from Aba to Isiala Ngwa, Owerri, Umuahia, and Ikot-Ekpene can conveniently make use of the Okpu Umuobo road without resorting to the Osisioma express thereby easing traffic on the express.

He described the Okpu-Umuobo-Mgboko road as being strategic and of great economic importance to Aba, the business hub of the state.

The Commissioner for Works, Elder Bob Ogu, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Engr. Okpara and a team of Engineers from the contractors handling the projects conducted the Governor round the project sites.

The Deputy Chairman of Osisioma Ngwa LGA, Hon. Uchenna Jumbo represented the Chairman of the Council, Hon. Christian Kamalu during the inspection visits.
