Police Arrest Suspended DCP Abba Kyari

Suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police and Head of Intelligence Response Team, Abba Kyari has been arrested by the Nigeria Police after the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, indicted him in a drug deal.

According to the spokesperson of the force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi who spoke to a Punch reporter on Monday, Kyari was arrested a few hours after NDLEA’s press conference.

“He has been arrested. He was handcuffed and will be handed over to the appropriate agency. He was not given any preferential treatment,” the police officer said.

When asked to confirm Kyari’s arrest, Adejobi replied, “Yes and four others. A statement will be issued soon.”
