ASUU: ‘Resume Lectures’ – FG Directs Vice-Chancellors
The Federal Government has asked the Vice Chancellors of all Universities in the country to resume lectures despite the indefinite strike embarked on by members of the Academic Staff Union of University, ASUU.

The Federal Government has asked the Vice Chancellors of all Universities in the country to resume lectures despite the indefinite strike embarked on by members of the Academic Staff Union of University, ASUU.
In a letter signed by the Director, Finance and Accounts of the National University Commission, NUC, on behalf of Abubakar Rasheed, the Executive Secretary of the Commission, the government charged all vice-chancellors; pro-chancellors and chairmen of governing councils of federal universities to resume lectures immediately.
According to the Punch, the letter reads “Ensure that ASUU members immediately resume/commence lectures; Restore the daily activities and routines of the various University campuses.”
Recall that ASUU has been on strike for over 7 months while some State schools have resumed activities, others are still on strike.
