APC Candidate Unveils Manifesto, Vows to Rebuild Abia

The candidate of the All Progressive Congress High Chief Ikechi Emenike has stated that he plans to rescue and develop Abia State which will start with physically re-engineering and increasing the budget of the State.

He made this statement during the official unveiling of his manifesto on Sunday at his country home in Ohuhu, Umuahia,  revealing that his passion is to have the wherewithal to govern the State.

“When Abia started failing, it started with people allocating government to themselves. Next, they started owing salaries to workers and stopped paying contractors. The retrogressive in the State has gotten to the doorstep of every Abian. Nobody can afford to stay on the fence. To be on the bench is to vote for the status quo. If you don’t vote, you are contributing to the decay of Abia State.”

Speaking further, High Chief Emenike maintained that there will be a holistic approach to the rebuilding of Abia State while calling on all Abians to join hands in the rebuilding and repositioning of the State.

“Our experience in the last 24 years in Abia has been the destruction and defacing of a State we call ‘God’s State’. If Abia is bad, then it’s bad for all of us. If you can join hands together then Abia can be better. It’s the responsibility of all Abians. That’s why I left all I was doing to run the gubernatorial race to rescue and develop Abia. That’s the core of our manifesto. So I’m asking you to come and be part of it.”

Speaking of reconciling grieving members,  he said that after victory the grieving members will return because ‘failure is an orphan while victory has many relatives. Many parties have problems that are not peculiar to APC but we will take them. Corruption will be a thing of the past if elected as governor.”
