Suspected kidnappers who impersonated the Nigerian Police Force have been arrested by Anambra State Police Command on Friday, 28th of April, 2023 at Adazi-Nnukwu in Aniocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The kidnappers who were identified as Chinonso Offor, Hycent Ugwuike, and Samuel Sunday Akpan revealed that their camp was in Isuochi in Abia State.
Reports say the kidnappers abducted a yet-to-be-identified man on the 27th of April, 2023 along Oraukwu, Adazi Ani road.
The information available indicates that the operatives from Forward Operating Base (FOB) Aguata intercepted three vehicles- one unmarked brown Lexus Jeep, a black Land Cruiser Prado Jeep and one Silver-ash coloured while on stop-and-search duty at Afor Nnobi road.
Consequently, the armed men engaged the security personnel in a gun battle but three of the hoodlums escaped from the scene, while the remaining three were later overpowered and arrested.
