The Presidential Election Petition Court has adjourned the hearing to Tuesday, 4th of July 2023 over the inability of the Independent National Electoral Commission to open its defense.
The Presidential Election Petition Court has adjourned the hearing to Tuesday, 4th of July 2023 over the inability of the Independent National Electoral Commission to open its defense.

It was gathered that the counsels of INEC ably led by A. B. Mahmoud SAN, could not provide the three witnesses it has earlier scheduled and asked for an adjournment.
“My lord, this week is for the defense and we have three witnesses to present and we need three days but unfortunately, none of our witnesses is in court and I’m not sure if they are coming because I’ve not spoken to him yet.

That is our unfortunate situation today and we would like to seek an adjournment until tomorrow.”
The five-member panel led by Justice Haruna Tsammani adjourned the hearing till Tuesday at 9 am.
The Labour Party is contesting the declaration of President Bola Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 presidential election and also challenging the process that declared him the winner.
