Ahead of the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, PEPT, on Wednesday, officers of the Nigerian Army blocked major roads leading to the Court of Appeal in Abuja.

An action that has caused heavy traffic in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The five-man panel led by Justice Haruna Tsammani has chosen September 6 as the day it would give its verdict on the case between Peter Obi, the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party against the Independent National Electoral Commission, President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.

The petitioners are challenging the victory of President Tinubu and the process that declared him the winner of the February 25 general election.
It also argued that President Tinubu did not meet the constitutional requirement to be declared the winner of the presidential election.
In a memo, the Court’s Chief Registrar stated that only accredited counsels and individuals would be allowed inside the courtroom while urging Nigerians to watch the judgment from home as it will be televised.
The judges include Justice Haruna Tsammani, Justice Stephen Adah, Justice Monsurat Bolaji-Yusuf, Justice Moses Ugo, and Justice Abba Mohammed.
