South West Support Group of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, has written to President Bola Tinubu over the favourable appointment of ‘Lagos Boys’ in the new administration.

President Tinubu has appointed Dele Alake, Femi Gbajabiamila, Kayode Egbetokun, and a host of other notable figures who are ‘Lagosians’ in his cabinet.
The situation does not go down well with the support groups of the South West as it stated that the benefits of the appointments are accrued to these ‘Lagos Boys’ and reiterated that Lagos State is not the only state in the South West.

Citing the recent 20 appointments made by the President on which 13 of them are Lagos Politicians who might not be from Lagos but have either played their politics in Lagos, lived in Lagos, or made Lagos their immediate Constituents.
The statement also pointed out that the entourage of the President on his recent trip to France were all Lagos Politicians.
It, therefore called on the President to address this dichotomy and include everyone in his appointments.
Meanwhile, a Chieftain of the APC, Mr Dele Fulani also made the same assertions while a guest at the Arise TV morning show on Friday accusing the President of favouring Lagosians to the detriment of other parts of South West.
