Police Neutralize Kidnapper, Rescue Victim in Delta

The Delta State Police Command rescued a yet-to-be-identified kidnapped victim at Fupre Junction in the State on the 29th of July 2023.

It was gathered that the victim was hit by a tricycle from behind and came down to check on the damage but was jumped on by the occupants of the tricycle who held him at gunpoint and took him in his car.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe on Monday, the victim was forced to transfer seven hundred thousand nairas (#700,000) but while waiting for more transfers, police operative on stop and search intercepted them at Fupre junction.

In a bid to escape, one of the suspects was gunned down when he jumped down from the vehicle and the victim who was blindfolded was rescued.
