NLC, TUC Calls Off Nationwide Strike Just 24 Hours After
The Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress have suspended its strike action just 24 hours after embarking on a nationwide protest against economic hardship caused by the removal of fuel subsidies by the Federal Government.

Comrade Joe Ajaero, the President of the NLC, and Comrade Festus Osifo, the President of TLC met President Bola Tinubu at the State House on Wednesday.

Speaking on the AriseTV Morning Show on Thursday, Mr. Osifo stated that the unions extracted some commitment to some of the issues raised for immediate implementation.
On Wednesday, there was a nationwide strike action by members of the Labour Unions who chanted ‘Let the poor breathe’ in a protest against the economic hardship in the country.
