Abia Govt. Directs Immediate Movement of Vehicles into Ohiya Park or Risk Impoundment
Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti has warned that from August 17, 2023, vehicles parked or being loaded on the roadside along NNPC Mega Station of Nkwoegwu to Ubakala Junction will be impounded if they fail to move into the Ohiya Park.
Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti has warned that from August 17, 2023, vehicles parked or being loaded on the roadside along NNPC Mega Station of Nkwoegwu to Ubakala Junction will be impounded if they fail to move into the Ohiya Park.

This was made known in a statement signed by Ferdinand Ekeoma, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity on Thursday revealed that the vehicles include Heavy Duty Trucks, Luxurious Buses, Mini Buses, and Vans.
The statement also directed that all makeshift shops, shanties, and other illegal shops and structures located in the affected areas should also be removed.

“This decision is to enable the government to decongest, Clean-up, safeguard and beautify the state Capital and its environs while reducing the danger associated with illegal parking of vehicles by the roadside and illegal trading that puts lives at risk.
All those affected by this directive have up to Wednesday, August 17, 2023, to comply.”
