Dilapidated Building: Abia Govt. Directs Immediate Evacuation of Occupants
Abia State Government has directed relevant agencies and government appointees to evacuate occupants of a two-storey building where its balcony pulled off at Ikot Ekpene Road, Aba on Friday.
Abia State Government has directed relevant agencies and government appointees to evacuate occupants of a two-storey building where its balcony pulled off at Ikot Ekpene Road, Aba on Friday.

This was made known by the Special to the Governor Alex Otti on Media and Publicity, Ferdinand Ekeoma stating that the occupants should be moved to allow evaluation of the building.
It reiterated the premium of life and stated that the present administration will do everything possible to safeguard the lives and properties of Abia residents.


The statement reads, “The government has been alerted to an incident that took place this morning where the Balcony two-storey building just pulled out at Ikot-Ekpene Road Aba. Graciously, no life was lost.
Relevant government appointees/agencies have been alerted and asked to swing into action and ensure that occupants of the house are evacuated and taken to a safe place to give room for evaluation of the said building and any other necessary action.”
